Welcome to Wheelchair DNA! This channel is dedicated to motivating and educating anyone whom is interested. Mainly focused on showing what may be a better way to go about certain things. I'm not going to hold your hand and walk you through everything though. If I leave something out, I either forgot, or it's something you should learn for yourself to grow. Tough love.
I also talk about how to get or give help in some of my videos. Thank you for watching!

How to Find & Patch a Roho Cushion Hole
Переглядів 427Місяць тому
In this video I tell you everything you need to know about getting a hole in a roho cushion after a lot of experience with getting holes myself. Roho cushions are a blessing and a curse - they're one of, if not the, best cusions for wheelchair users, but very expensive and (personally) very susceptible to holes. The first thing you should do is email warranty.roho@permobil.com with a picture of...

Very sexy❤
I have a JAY Balance which uses a Roho component (back seating part is basically a Roho air cushion). What I use is my iPhone. It's quite simple and it's pin point. You'll need your headphones equipped(AirPods or Beats, etc) and the phone which you will use as a microphone. Access your control panel and tap Live Listen and move the phone with the mic part over the cushion. The noise of air escaping out is very loud, don't increase the volume too much. Mark the area with something after identified and apply the patch. Also, if the instant patches are failing, you can use something like liquid rubber/pvc, keep in mind those type of adhesives are emitting fumes and must be used in a well-ventilated area.(I've pasted the comment form the other video here too, hope it helps).
Great advice!!

If you’re newly injured, you can usually get them while you’re still in rehab (depending on your level of injury, type (complete v. Incomplete) and possibly Asia rating. I got my first pair of braces when I was at Walter Reed, going to rehab, but years later I upgraded to assistive K AFOs: When I went through the second time, I had already had my braces for years. First I asked my regular doctor, then I saw a physical therapist, and then I went to the actual orthopedic specialist. I first got injured on March 3, 2008. ( I was in the military, so I was initially in Ballad, which is in northern Iraq, then Landstuhl Germany, then Walter Reed. I received my wheelchair on April 18, and then I got my braces maybe five or six weeks later.
Great info! Yeah, hopefully people can get them inpatient like we did. Much easier that way
Great info. Thank you so much.

Hello Cosmo, how are you doing my brother 😊😊? Glad to see you on your UA-cam video of you practising your standing up and also walking in your leg brace by using the wheelie Walker when getting up from your wheelchair 😊😊. God bless you brother 😊😊. I love you heaps brother 😊😊❤❤. Take care brother 😊😊. Stay strong brother 😊😊. Hope to see you walking soon when you get stronger and better😊😊. Best friends as always from PaulLaw 😊😊.
Cool setup
Who is that girl in the background voice? Is she your gf? Btw love the vlog 😊
Yeah, that’s her! Thank you!
My wife isn't paralyzed, but she does have a prosthetic right leg. A lot of the tricks you use help her out also. Thanks for posting. I'm sure you help many, many people out.
Thank you!
My problem when i’m doing this is that my wheelchair slips away from me when i lift myself and it has caused me to fall a few times.😢
Brakes are important, also always having a hand on the chair so it can’t slip away. A few times I’ve had to pull the chair back and hold it in place
@@WheelchairDNA yes, i lock the brakes, but i think because my weight is more on the foot plate, it tends to tilt the chair forward a little bit which causes the chair to slip away from me.
What is the brand and model of the chair you are using?

AWESOME! I think you have found a perfect gig that showcases your personality and studly good looks!❤
I just watched the runway video again. Very sexy dude!! 😍
Is it difficult to sit on the floor in the bathroom?? I mean, I believe that using the ground is not bad if you can do it... In my country, there is a piece of plastic that is spread on the ground and you sit on it... It is used by the general public And not just those who have a problem... Good day to you 🩷
For me it’s not hard, the only difference for me is that I need cushioning. Hard surfaces are uncomfortable, that’s why using a folded towel is good for the bathroom
You can get that leather that you are wearing from Morocco. It is spongy and comfortable. Choose it carefully. You can also fold it and put it in the bag. It will not take up space at all. @@WheelchairDNA
Dude you are my inspiration ❤ never stop uploading videos ❤️ next video on how to drive a car
Thank you!!
Much Love #WheelchairMafia
That was great! Were the clothes special in some kind of way?
Yeah! You can have a look here: no-limbits.com
You are looking good! ❤
Buenas, Eres el mejor modelo que he visto en silla de ruedas, sigue modelando que te ves SUPER.......😎
The name is sending me up the roof 😂😂❤
Love the message on the shirt! " Accessibility is not optional ”
A little light and you disappear and we will never be able to see you again 😂 We are waiting for the fashion show video, brother... I love these videos. They give positive energy and the desire to exercise and work hard. Thank you. Keep it up Cosmo... ❤
Hi! I’m from Chile and I've been watching all yours videos. The last year I had an accident and now I’m paraplegic and I move by wheelchair. I started to practice English with your videos and you motivate me with all your process. I would like to do the same as you and motivate people who speak in Spanish. Sorry for my ugly and bad English but I going to practice more. And thank you so much for all that you do here, you really help me.
Thank you so much!! Don’t apologize, your English is great. Definitely make some videos to motivate
Haha my roofs all scratched up too: I think we all kind of have that problem!
yes, work only when the weather is bad haha!
My girlfriend bought spray tan in a can. It was pretty good realistic and $30 or $35. She strayed us both and had a lot left over. I can't remember the brand.
Your videos are great. I enjoy your random conversations... I will make more videos of this type ❤
Dolma is an Iraqi dish... Is your girlfriend Arab???
She’s Middle Eastern

Hi Cosmo! ❤
Cosmo, it would be awesome if you could do a camping video! I have two sets of leg braces, a white pair very similar to yours where the knees are always locked, and a black pair that are called assistive KFOs where are the knee will unlock when I step forward. Would really be interested to see how you camp using a wheelchair. Like everything wheelchair, it’s possible but it’s more time-consuming and like everything else, takes practice Thanks for posting this, as always enjoy watching your videos! Chairs from the Lil’ Rhoady!
Hey! Cosmo: It is great to see you again. I always enjoy your videos, but there is something different about this one. Your usual high energy and engaging presentation seemed subdued. You always look handsome and bring a lot of energy to your content. You seemed down and somewhat distracted. Hope you are OK and Not down about the progress of your stem cell program. You are an inspiration and awesome advocate for your community. Thanks for all you do.. And here is a big BEAR hug to say you are a great guy and are very appreciated! ❤ Mike Ps the modeling gig is perfect for you!!😊 8:46AM/ 5-9
Thank you!! Yeah I think I’m a little awkward when I’m not teaching about something
Thanks for the update! I wish you nothing but the best! Greetings from Maryland 🙂
Thank you!!
welcome back Cosmo! lookin forward to your bodybuilding prep!
Thanks! It’ll be a nice challenge
Gracias!
If that won't bother you, could you make a video about your accident... I wish you recovery, my brother 🩷
I really should! I’ll try to do it soon
@@WheelchairDNA 🩷🤍
Really should learn the wheely to do it
I’ve thought about it, but the cost/benefit isn’t worth it
Neuability 💪
I wish i could that i have to be hoisted x
Thank you for your videos. You can also detect any holes in the cushion by submerging it in water. If you need to repair it, I've found that transparent silicone glue works well for small holes. This method is quite effective and helps extend the life of the cushion.
Thank you! Here’s the more recent video: ua-cam.com/video/-O-1rGRLb84/v-deo.html
Your videos are incredibly helpful! I'd love to see more content focused on leg braces tips or other related skills. These insights could really benefit those of us looking to enhance our mobility and comfort. Thanks for the great work!
I wish i could that x
Thank you 🗿
Tell us why nor put them in
Tell us why not put them on while on the floor…❤
Thank you for putting these videos together - really appreciated when you’re in rehab and on the learning curve!
"All braces are important except this one,"😂😂
How do you manage with loose motions in public areas?
I put mine on in an old armchair: I saw use a walker when I do my initial stand up, but after over two years of practice (multiple hours a day, every day) i’m able to walk around my entire house without crutches or a walker. I can even get in my car and drive short distances wearing them, so I wouldn’t necessarily advise it when you’re first starting out. That also took many weeks of practice just to figure out how to get in and out of the car. (In many cases, it’s still more practical to transfer in and out of my car using a wheelchair, the leg brace is actually take more time)
Ive googled and googled i cant find leg braces like that. Is there a name or brand that sells full leg braces like that or.do you need to go through a doctor?
Yeah, you’ll need to ask your doctor
